Consultancy.

With her background as Horticultural Therapist and AGE UK Horticulture Tutor, Caroline offers consultancy and training to
Care Homes and staff on how to engage residents with nature for their wellbeing .

Gardening together.

People in care can feel lonely and isolated, especially those with dementia, and research has found that gardening together can improve wellbeing and self esteem as well as give people a sense of purpose and achievement from completing a meaningful activity.

Staff workshops.

Training workshops include:

  • Engaging residents with plants and nature;

  • Setting up a gardening group using adapted horticultural techniques;

  • Flower arranging and nature craft activities through the seasons;

  • Creating sensory gardens.

What People Are Saying

“Caroline’s training workshops and one to one consultations at each of our care homes have been very helpful. Supporting the staff and activity coordinators to set up gardening groups with the residents, encouraging the residents outside, and identifying how to improve the gardens has been very practical. Each care home now has purpose built raised planters and colourful gardens for residents, staff and families to enjoy.”
