Nature wellbeing

What to expect.

As well as training in Horticultural Therapy and Horticulture and Designing with Plants, Caroline has studied Foraging, Native British Plants and Wild Flowers; and Native Tree Identification through the Seasons with Woodland Classroom.

The nature wellbeing sessions can be run in person or on zoom. Caroline ran nature connection sessions on zoom with AGE UK and People Keeping Well over a year during the pandemic.

Caroline tailors nature wellbeing sessions to particular client groups depending on interest, mobility and needs. The sessions offered could include :-

Nature connection

Nature connection.

Sessions include connecting to nature in a deeper way through learning and sharing about native plants and trees, learning about traditional cultural and medicinal uses, folk lore and beliefs. Learn to identify different wild food, wild flowers and trees through the seasons.  Discover the exciting new research about the Secret Life of Trees and how they communicate.  Through mindfulness, poetry, creative activities and nature crafts Caroline can offer bespoke nature connection sessions through the seasons ... in groups or on zoom.

Social and therapeutic horticulture

Social and therapeutic horticulture.

With ten years experience working as a horticulture tutor for AGE UK and as a Horticultural Therapist working in care homes, Caroline offers various social and therapeutic horticultural programmes. These include seed sowing and propagating plants through cuttings, to creating sensory gardens and herb gardens, planting up pots and hanging baskets with seasonal colour, to nature craft activities and flower arranging and creating wreaths.

What people are saying.

Joy Arnott, Health Improvement Manager, The Terminus Initiative

“Thank you for giving me an interest in life again. I was getting very lazy and uninterested and feeling my age. I now feel like my self again with a brain that is active again!”
86 year old widow ( AGE UK Nature connection zoom group)

“I just wanted to say thank you for yesterday's Scandinavian Christmas wreath workshop. I really enjoyed it. It was lovely to switch off from everything and be totally immersed in a craft.”
