Women’s Circles in Sheffield
Since training with Sister Stories in early 2024 Caroline has been holding Women’s Circles with Sheffield Museums at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet.
What is a Women’s Circle?
A women’s circle is a group of women coming together in a safe, confidential, non- judgemental space. I love being part of circle and feeling part of a community of women, of different ages, different walks of life and yet sharing our humanity and stories and realising we are not alone. It is so empowering hearing our own voice and other’s voices. In each circle, we connect with the seasons by following the Celtic Wheel of the Year. We enjoy celebrating the Solstices and Equinoxes and the changing seasons. You are completely free to share as much or as little as you’d like, there is no pressure at all. What are people saying?
“It was my first women’s circle and I didn’t know what to expect. But I left feeling calm, seen, heard, empowered, and inspired. It’s like sisterhood , with women you’ve never met, yet captivated by their stories, vulnerability, wisdom with no pressure to talk or contribute. It allows you to be you, or at least help you discover who you are.”
“A warm welcoming space where you are held. You can say as much, as little, or nothing at all, whatever you feel comfortable with on the day. A lovely way to top up your well!”
“A wonderful journey of self and focusing this with wild sisterhood. Gratitude for all the sister stories today. I feel free and ready for the winter/dark months ahead.”
